Handmade in her Glasgow studio, Laura creates timeless clothing and accessories designed to let children be little, play, explore and look beautiful. Sustainable, natural materials provide the best comfort for your children, whilst not costing the earth.
As small as you are was started in 2021 by Laura Grime, sewing bonnets from her kitchen table. Laura is a self taught embroidery artist and seamstress with a passion for all things small. The business combines timeless children's fashion with craft and sustainability. Natural fibres and reclaimed embroidery thread form the backdrop for a beautiful way to clothe wee folk. Robust enough for playing in a wood and pretty enough for a party. Laura lives with her family in Glasgow and has now converted the attic into a sewing studio!
Design

Sustainability
The bulk of fabrics used are organic or as pesticide free as possible. Linen is a naturally more sustainable fabric using less water to grow and needing very little intervention from chemical fertilisers. These things are central to as small as you are's ethos. We want your clothes to care for you and the environment.
